Meet Megan

I never thought the journey to have children could be such a difficult one. It seems so easy for most people, but for some of us, growing our family is one of the most emotional, time consuming, and expensive endeavors we will ever have to endure.

My journey started in my early thirties with a diagnosis of hashimotos, which was soon followed with the additional diagnosis’ of the genetic mutation MTHFR, endometriosis and dimished ovarian reserve. With the help of IVF, I was able to finally conceive our son. Trying for a second child proved to be even more difficult as my “old” ovaries had all but quit by then.

We lost multiple embryos with failed transfers, and after my fourth egg retrieval attempt I experienced a ruptured ovary that resulted in prolonged internal bleeding and a near death experience.

Just when I thought I couldn’t cry any more tears, I was introduced to the idea of surrogacy from a beautiful woman in my life: my child’s nanny. She had watched my husband and I walk the painful road of infertility for years, and she offered to carry our child for us.

Through this journey, I absolutely fell in love with the idea of surrogacy, and the surrogate mothers who generously allow others to finally realize their dreams of parenthood. This love led me to starting Your Fertility Advocate, an agency dedicated to offering parents a real and tangible solution to grow their family through third party reproduction.

It is an honor to make dreams of parenthood come true every day, and I feel so blessed to call this my job! If you have come this far, I can assure you that the joy of finally holding your child in your arms is just around the corner.
