“Advice from YFA was helpful and accurate.
On insurance, YFA connected us with a trusted broker and helped to explain our insurance options. When we pointed out discrepancies in the GC’s survey (e.g., GC accidentally selected that she was receiving Medicaid benefits), YFA worked quickly to resolve the inaccuracies.
On medical, YFA was very helpful with the coordination of medical records with our fertility clinic. In hindsight, I wish they advised on sourcing an OBGYN earlier in the process, as we experienced a major delay with our GC finding a doctor (which, in turn, required us to engage a third-party NIPT testing service and sourcing an anatomy scan prior to her first OB appointment). In future, YFA should accelerate these conversations immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy so as to alleviate extra costs and last-minute scrambles.
On legal, we ended up not using any of YFA’s recommended legal contacts. However, all of YFA’s recommendations were well-regarded on the surrogacy blogs of which we are members.”
Was communication transparent, open and effective?

“Yes to all – YFA responded to emails same-day, and texts and calls were answered and responded to immediately; we were never left “on read”.
All YFA members responded in plain language and in a conversational tone… including with emojis! The familiarity and lack of stuffiness made our journey so much less daunting and quickly broke down the walls for strong communication from match to birth.
More than anything, though, we never felt like we were a just another number as part of YFA’s business: we always felt appreciated, valued, and heard… the empathy from everyone on the YFA made our journey so much easier.”
